G’day! I’m Jonathan Brake, and I want to take you back ten years to a moment at Niagara Falls with my Bride, Rebecca. After 15 years of grinding it out in business, we had finally reached a position where we could travel together and enjoy moments like that. But let me tell you – it wasn’t always easy.

The Truth About Patience

When I asked my Bride what the journey’s been like, she didn’t hold back: “It’s been a long journey. A journey of patience, definitely.” And she’s absolutely right. Building a business that gives you real flexibility takes serious commitment – years of work, significant financial investment, and yes, buckets of patience.

There were moments when we both felt the temptation to just give up. “It’s really easy when it’s at its hardest times… to just give up and go and do something else,” my Bride reflects. And honestly, during those challenging times, I had those thoughts too.

Making the Big Leap Together

Recently, my Bride had taken a massive leap of faith – she resigned from her job. Why? So we could move overseas and actually be together as a family when I traveled. Instead of being apart for 3-5 weeks at a time, we were looking at just a couple of days.

The Reality Check

Here’s what I want couples to know: “We’re not just rolling in money.” This isn’t about becoming wealthy overnight. It’s about creating options, having flexibility, and realizing you don’t need tons of money to make life work.

Sometimes you find yourself at places like Niagara Falls, getting soaked but laughing together, and you realize – everything’s okay. You don’t have to be stuck behind a desk doing the same thing forever.

The journey is tough, but the freedom to choose? That’s priceless.
