Which Trail Marker Needs Your Focus Right Now?

60 Second Question – June 26 2024.

At The Forged Leader we’ve developed the “trail markers” framework to help guide you and your business on your leadership journey.

As I go on a scenic hike, or mountain bike ride, with beautiful back drops, breathtaking scenery and the sound of waterfalls, I reflect on the importance of these markers, and the fact they play a critical reminder to keep me on track.

The 5 Trail Markers are:

Purpose: Understanding who you are and what your mission is.

Strategy: Planning your approach to achieve your purpose.

People: Surrounding yourself with the right team and support to help you get after your mission.

Communication: Effectively communicating to the people you bring around you.

Repeatable Processes: Establishing frameworks and processes for consistent and improving outcomes.

As you watch the video, plan to spend some time this week thinking about which marker you need to focus on the most. Is it refining your purpose, strategizing better, building a stronger team, improving communication, or creating better processes?

Share your thoughts in the comments through one of the channels below—I’d love to hear from you!

Why The 60 Second Question?

The 60 Second Question is designed to get business owners and leaders thinking. Often we are told we need to strategize, we need to focus on the important but not urgent, take time out to think. The reality is, when we do this our minds are so full we have not trained ourselves well to stop and reflect. The hope of the 60 Second Question is to give you something to focus on. To help you make a discipline of this most valuable tool – your mind and its capacity to create success for you.
